Spotlight on...EPHS Class of 2022! Congratulations graduates!
"At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." Denzel Washington

East Paulding High School hosted 8th Graders from Moses Middle School & East Paulding Middle School for the Reality & Pathway Fair. The Reality Fair is an interactive financial tool for middle school students to get a glimpse of reality. Students picked a career and came with a monthly salary amount and visited tables set up for real life expenses. Volunteers worked tables that simulated real life activities: such as buying or renting a home/apartment, purchasing insurance, paying for daycare and groceries. Then the students got to visit our amazing pathways that will help them get to their careers.

Nov '22: The 2022 Ultimate DECA Power Trip helped our DECA members get the edge in more ways than one. During the conference, they had the opportunity to form one-on-one connections with over 1,000 members and advisors as they expanded their network. They competed in a role-play event to become the ultimate DECA member and visited local historic sites in th Washington D.C. area.
EPHS FFA students assisted Ga DNR trout biologists sampling the trout population in a stretch of Noontootla Creek in North Georgia.  The biologists used backpack electrofishers to shock the water stunning the fish long enough to net them.  The fish were collected, identified, measured and weighed before being released back in the water.  As they worked, the biologists explained all about trout and their habitat, as well as what wildlife biologists do as a career.  Everyone had a blast!!!
The Air Force Recruiting Command team brought the Operation: ShadowStrike simulator to EPHS. Our cadets became Airmen for the day, while participating/flying in a Special Operations mission in the 4D flight simulator. They will also be part of a national recruiting commercial that was filmed on site. What an awesome opportunity for our cadets!
